Thanks for the information. Hard to tell if that is the real #25 Spa 1970 car. Do you know if it had a sliding block? I noticed all the 1970 GTAM's have the 1750 and Alfa logo on the rear trunk. Thats funny because most of the 1750's I have seen in America from around that production time said Alfa Romeo and had no logo on the trunk. The 2006 Spa 1750 does not have the Autodelta front light bar, they just mounted the lights directly to the body. I noticed Autodelta had a special bar they used at several races on both GTAM's and GTAM jr cars. Some of the 1970 SPA cars and also the Paul Ricard 1971 1300 GTAM cars used this same style light bar.

Hello Ronny and other members,

Thank you for the photographs. Here is another picture of the car we are talking about in period livery. Source of the picture is 24h de spa 1970 Ă  1990 - GT / Endurance FORUM GT / Endurance - FORUM Sport Auto

Ciao! Olaf
Thanks for the link, although I have already seen it. You can make out the front driving light bar a little in that photo. It bolts into the bumper holes and has a brace between the lights. If we found a rear shot of the Spa cars from 1970 we could figure out wich one was wich because of the plates. To bad Autodelta didn't keep better records!!

Here are a few photos of GTAM's. I think L27247MI is AR*1530952.

What is the white press cars chassis. I have photos of the 1971 Spa cars that help figure out chassis numbers. The SPA 1970 race is hard to figure out. One good rear photo will fix that problem.

A few more photos. The GTA jr show the Paul Ricard car with Autodelta front light bar, almost the same as the #25 Spa 1970 car. Also notice they changed the trunk lettering from 1750 to Alfa Romeo on most of the cars starting in 1971. The Spa 1971 photo shows #40 1530849 MIK9422, #41 1531042 MIL31853 and #42 1530952 MIL27247. The engine shot is supposed to be at Silverstone in 1970, car #33 MIK97829. The car seems to be white(maybe the press car?) The final shot is at Silverstone in 1973 and is car plate MIK91850. Photos are for informational use only. #1530938 is the car #35 from 1973 Silverstone.

On the Spa 1971 cars, the #40 and #42 cars are both listed as Beige cava but are both clearly a diffent color with the #40 being lighter colored.

I did decals for several of the GTAM and GTAjr cars in 1/24th scale 12 years ago for one of my company's Scale Designs.

Dear members,

Working from various sources, such as books like´Alleggerita´ by Tony Adriaensens, ´Alfa Romeo GTA´ by Maurizio Tabucchi, the Alfabb and others, I have been putting together a list of licenseplates and chassisnumbers. This is not exact science for we know that in those days, licenseplates could change (as with the TZ´s earlier). Be free to add, correct and complete this list!

Ciao, Olaf

Found these photos, ignore if they have been posted previously, but here they go.

"24 Hrs of Francorchamps. Car # 25, sic. driven by E. Pinto and Berger, obtained 2nd place in the overall results. In the lower photo the other GTAm of Zeccoli-Facetti and Demouin-Bourgoigne, 3rd and 4th OA. The placement of the three cars in the first four places of the OA classification has allowed the win of the King's Trophy to Alfa Romeo."

Here is a photo from the late 1980's of a GTAM in Scotland owned by Andy Miekle. It looks like the same color as AR1530849 when raced at Spa in 1971 as number #40.
