excellent pictures , thank you .

so interesting to see in the black and white "criterium des chevennes" pictures the SPECIAL autodelta gtam part extended bumper which in some cases was plastic .

i do not have with me the part number right now but it was on the homologation sheets for the special gtam apendixes .
versus the pictures that follow which simply had a 1750 gtv usa stainelees stell bumper which did not cover completely the fender flares.
great pictures thenk you

Takis, can you help us with the text here ?
Only thing I understand is "Alfa", "2000" "GTAM" and "BMW".
I guess the pictures are taken at Rhodos.
The last picture is also probably from the Rhodos race
The pictures are from a race at the island of Corfu. The stepfront is an original GTA 1600 that was transformed with GTAm mechanicals and wide fender flares, in this race it was driven by Lakis Fotiadis, in fact it is the same car in which Yiannis Mauros was killed at the island of Rhodos.
The GTAm race number 7 is the genuine one that was imported by Motor Hellas back then and i think at this race it was driven by Moschous (i must check through my archives and inform you).
Takis.

Hello Giamba_ps,

The partnumber for the front plastic bumper (Paraurti ant. in plastica) was 105.59.59.001.10 and the rear (Paraurti post. in plastica) was 105.59.59.002.10. Homologation paper 1576/5/3V

Hello Giamba,

I have never seen such a bumper in real life. But then again, I have only seen about five real GTAm's in real life and a couple of replica's!
Have you ever come across such a bumper? Source of this picture is Autoforum.

Hello members,

Found it! This is the Hezemans GTAm #1530848 with startnumber #78. We saw this GTAm earlier in this thread with startnumber #105. It is standing in a garage in Amsterdam as we speak and has been there since the seventies. You can read the licensplate of the car in this picture. I knew that it had 'MN' at the end. The combination 93-42-MN means that this car was put on the road in 1970. This GTAm featured in an edition of 'Het Klaverblaadje", the magazine of the Dutch Alfa Romeo Owners Club.

It seems that the "german/english" GTAm is the real Monzeglio one. It was raced in that Euro1750 configuration in the early 1970s and has papers. Btw it was first purchased by a portuguese (Cruz) and restored and maintained by a german (Furiani), raced by the portuguese, later sold via a belgian (MRoks) to an Englishman (Fitzsimons), who let the german codrive and do the work on it.
Hello Martinue & members,

Here is the original Monzeglio GTAm in the 1971 4 hours of Monza. Look at the front of this GTAm. It definitely has the 1750/2000 rectangular front indicator lights instead of the round indicator lights most GTAm's had back than.
By the way; source of the picture is the magazine 'Motorsports' who brought out a special about track tests last month. Very entertaining reading!!

Ciao, Olaf

GTV6SA,

true, and also irrelevant. Because I see at least 100 things that aren't original. Like the Wilwood fluid reservoirs, the seat, the cage the fuel cell, the door panels, the door handles inside, the teardrop pattern floorboard. Who cares?

Point is, it is offered without history, competition pedigree etc etc, or so it seems. If it had an interesting history, I think the seller would state that info.
Up to now, what I see is a replica. Or a so called 'evocazione', which is even worse. Or, worse... I'm saying that wrong. A Rep is fine, I had one. A real one is cool too. An evocazione, however.... just a tad above a fake...

Show me a TOTALLY correct GTam.
Point is there aren't any. (save one, which has been put in storage right off the track back in '72 and hasn't been touched since. And which is incidentally not for sale)
Now, officially, any 105.51 is a GTam as soon as you start putting homologated parts on it.
If this car has valid FIA papers, and the price is right, I don't care about the rest.
It does have some nice and expensive parts though.
