Correct! Further on that;

"Colotti Trasmissioni". See the link below.
Specified for GTA and GTAm. With "dog clutch" ....

Sorted for me. Based on documents and experiences.
"The 1750 GTAm used/could use the 1600 GTA mechanical clutch in combination with a GTA or a T 118 Colotti gearbox."

Different sets of gear ratios were on offer by Autodelta. Special Gruppo 5 gearboxes on request.

As the "3. Options"-list in post #500 of this thread, and stated in "Alleggerita" 1st edition tells us that.

As is stated in FIA Form #1576 in such a way that it gives room for for different applications.

Plus what some Colotti documentation suggests and confirmed by the "Alleggerita" list.

Does Appendix J say anything about this? Opinions?

Ciao, Olaf 👌🍀

I learn a lot a the moment! Thanks all!

When I went to collect 153 2307, in a trash can, was a complete Colotti box with about 3 sets of ratios and a bunch of other parts. So clearly had been used on the car, yet for a lot of the local drivers, not practical, as a 'difficult box' to use.

I learned driving a non synchro truck :)

The Monzeglio Squadra Corse, 1970 (source: MT). Martin Ăśbelher confirms this car as genuine in post #40, history mentioned by A,D&Ăś, this car has the square indicator lights in the front instead of the small round indicator lights. Car exists in 2024. In Germany as far as I know.

Autodelta SpA prepared, 1970, history mentioned by A,D&Ăś. Source: Fred della Noce; Fred noted that he used to own a Brasilian ex Jolly Club Hotel GTAm, now owned by Alcidis Diniz in Brasil. I rarely publish owners' names in this thread, in this case I do as the name is public knowledge.
The car exists 2024. The license plates locates it in SĂŁo Paulo, Brasil.

Hello members,

I decided to add the second 1750 GTAm in the UK, that was built locally with Autodelta parts.
Status to be discussed. I don't know yet how to catagorize this car.

# Unknown number, mid '70s local conversion to GTAm
A 1750 GTV type, 105.45 (RHD). Registration VPK4G. A mid 1970's UK privately converted 1750 GTAm with Autodelta and other spare parts. Raced in the UK.
Was crashed at the end of the 1970's.

Quote by Adrian Bertorelli;
"Olaf Roeten, no sorry only the UK registration number was VPK4G it originally was a 1750 GTV white with a black wabesco (webasto? Olaf) roof
First owner was Alfa GB."

"I was 17 when my mother got this car and I learnt to drive in it
This was the car that made the whole family fall in love with Alfa’s."

Silverstone 1977.

Both the Bertorelli racers, the real GTAm and this one were written about in the AROC UK club magazine in era I believe. I have the articles. I never thought of the RHD as a GTAm no more than I thought of the 1969 GTV Bulova Racer that carried Autodelta parts in 1971 (no wide body) a GTAm.

But maybe if there were GTVs built into racers using Autodelta parts at independent shops in Italy and we call them GTAm then why not this RHD GTV built in the UK.

Ken:

I agree with you on this but with one condition: it would depend on what year it was built.
If built in 1974, it should be considered as a GT Am. If built in 1976, it should be considered a replica, since the “prime” years of GT Am racing were well over by then.

Does your AROC UK article mention what year it was built?

Jim

Here's one Photo of the Bertorelli GTV from the AROC UK magazine from sept 1972. Note it is being called a 1750 GTV. And so far that is all I find on this car.
