Hello Jeff

Beautiful car...I noticed you hav a MaxJax. I have one as well. I purchased this excellent creeper that allows you to work in comfort when you're under the car.

Awesome, thank you for the recommendation Speednme! I have a basic rolling stool but it sits too high up and I still have to bend over a bit. Need to find something low-rise.

Bit of wheel help guys, these are the two I have

15x6 compomotive ML
15x6 Saab Steels

Which ones should stay, which should go ?

It might just be the camera angle, but to my eyes, the offset on the mags suits the car better, I think.
The steels can look good ("original", "period", "classic" or "retro" - whatever term you like), but look a bit unfinished without hub caps or hats. Have you tried to see it the Mexican hat polished centres fit those wheels?
You obviously have tyres for both sets of wheels. Why not keep the steelies in the corner for those days you feel so inclined.

I really like the look of my new 15" Minilite style wheels on my TI. Still need to figure out center caps, because what came with them was awful, and it looks like I may need to work on ride height, but love the look of the wheels. Took me a while to find a place that carried some 15"'s that actually fit a Super, due to the space issues in the rear. These are custom made in the UK, 15x5.5. Looks like they're a perfect fit with no rubbing of the new 185/65H15 tires, even if I decide to lower. Thanks to Jim, 180OUT, for the pointers that helped me decide what I needed and actually find them!

I think the Momo Vega's look great on the later cars, as they suit the more '70's interior and exterior styling details. I also think the GTA wheels look excellent on any 105, and I have them on my '72, but I am seriously tempted by a set of Momo's.

Rubber selection

Hi all - what about rubber for the rims? What tyres do you use and what specs? I'm looking at changing mine so started researching what's out their. The Yokohama Neova look good but probably best for the track rather than road. The Michelin Pilot Sport 3 look pretty good. I've had Michelin tyres previously on my first 105 and was super pleased with them.

Thoughts???

My Super came with 165x14 Vredestein Sports Classics. These were excellent tires and were H rated. I'm now running 185x65x15 tires which work equally well. Alfas tend to be finicky about tire ride heights. The suspension was designed around a 155.x15 with a 24.7 height. The 165x14 which came later reduced this slightly to 24 in plus/minus.

7x14 you will scrape the inner rear tire well with anything over a 205 tire, I run 205/50/16 on my spider, had yo space the rears out 1/4" and still have a scraping during compression
