codriver of Ada Pace at the 1958 Rallye del Sestrière was Piera Chiesa Bertoletti
Seven weeks after the accident at the 12h di Monza Ada Pace drove her SZ #00009 in the 2h di Monza, so the car could not have been destroyed completely

Gorza drove #04069, Schild drove #02488

Hello to you all.
First of all, a humble excuse for a fake memory and typing errors.
Fact:
Jean Pierre Schild raced chassis 02488 with Swiss registration GE 18393 ( GE= Geneva) . The read SVZ with an injury . Has a Swiss registration from Geneva GE 14547. Witch is the new registration. After it was sold to Ernest Arbalétrier.
Egidio Gorza raced a SVZ during Intereuropa at Monza in 1957 withan SVZ with #55 . That car had a painted stripe on the hood.

Thank you, Martin, what should we do without you.
Intereuropa 04.09.1960 ( I am sorry) did Ada Pace race a Sprint Speciale. On She did race the Sprint Speciale on other occasion 1960. But it is difficult to find any information, on these activities in the Sprint Speciale. I have always been of the opinion, That the Sprint Speciale come into activities, because of her accident with the SVZ during the Intereuropa 13.09.1959. As she was waiting for the SZ. But she received the SZ 28.06.1960. So why she used the Sprint Speciale , 2 month after she had received the SZ. I am unable to answer. But there is pictures from 1960 Intereuropa in SS.
Data is from John De Boer’s Ada Pace list
#20 SZ: I am convinced that the #20 SZ is chassis 00009, must be at Monza and the driver is Ada Pace. But I have been unable to find any documentation.
Thank you for the infos #212 19590809 Trapani-Monte Erice. She raced both the SVZ and the OSCA at that occasion. I have a picture where she is on the Podia to receive her Price.

19600904 at Monza, Ada Pace competed with the SZ as period magazines showed in photographs – her gas pedal failed, but she still managed to finish second in class. And pictures show her driving the SZ in some of the next events.

After her accident in the 19590913 Coppa Inter-Europa at Monza with SVZ #01849, she drove SVZ #04458 in the 19590920 Pontedecimo-Giovi and was third in class behind "Kim", who won the 1959 Italian Campionato di VelocitĂ  and the Trofeo della Montagna that year in class. Pace was second in the first and third in the latter championship, but she won the Campionato Femminile for GT cars that year. The hillclimb of Pontedecimo-Giovi was important for her since it counted for all three championships, so she lent another SVZ, but since she finished behind "Kim", she could not catch him.

A lone entry with a Giulietta TI in the 1959 Tour de Corse is my only record of her driving an Alfa Romeo Giulietta until she received her SZ in mid 1960.

I did not have seen entries nor photographs of her in a Giulietta SS.

Sorry Martin, i am convinced it is Ada Pace with #20.
Shortly before Tim blow life into this tread, and I took a copy of de Boer list. I came by a picture of a SS, it had #27. And the text informed it was Ada Pace in Intereuropa 1960.
At that time, I was at the same opinion as you. I didn’t take a copy, as I judged it was misinformation.
Since I have changed my opinion.
Have a good day.
I am going traveling on Wednesday morning the 8 , and will be away the next month, without a PZ

Hello to you all.
I was surfing to find further information on the Intereuropa at Monza 1960, wasn’t successful.
But stumbled over a start list Pontedecimo- Giovi 17 September 1961. I think the start list for 1300 ccm is interesting.
I am not the one to blame others for typing errors.
But a class with only SVZ models must be rear.
Aal the best

SZ at Sebring 1973

Sebring 1973
Image

I was looking for a Spider Veloce that might have raced in 1963 and stumbled upon this image at www.iedei.blog.com
I know this is an old thread-I’ve been absent from Alfabb for about 15 years. Car #59 above is SZT #191 at Sebring 1963 (not 1973).

It also raced as #63 in 1962 and finished 1st in class, raced by Art Swanson and Ross Durant.

I owned the car in the 80’s and 90’s and restored it to its 1962 Sebring livery and original grey color. Here it is at Sebring 1962 and after the restoration circa 1993.
