For sale is a rebuilt 1600. Engine was built by me during COVID as a project for a car i no longer need. I am a hobbyist not an engine builder. That is why I am selling for 1/2 of the parts cost. Engine ran on a test stand for 30 min with good oil pressure and no leaks. Head was built buy a well known engine builder.

Head build notes:
The valves used are 1mm oversize stainless alloy valves. But I reduced the head diameter .5mm and as well rounded the margins of the valves to improve flow. So they are effectively .5mm oversize.

A summary of the components in the head is: Ports opened and wider at the top, Seats opened with a 75 degree cutter, and finished with a 45 degree seat,Valves un-shrouded, short guides, green Viton seals, Isky 455-626 springs and RjR429 intake cam with an RjR1195 exh cam.
This is a full race head build, other than the cam design which is a high torque pairing. (However these came cams will make lots more HP than old race cams and have gobs of torque at low rpms as well as a smooth stable idle.)
I have marked the cam caps for the best LCs if there is adequate Piston to valve clearances. How to check P to V clearances is in the PDF files attached.

Two of your cam followers were no good. I replaced them and all were coated with MoS2 to assist in break in lubrication. (I`ll send you the 2 bad followers)

Head coolant plugs drilled and re- sealed.
Spark plug holes re-threaded with Time Certs

Sorry if I missed this in the description. Is this a 101 bottom end, or 105? Can’t quite tell in the photos. Maybe post the block number.

The Block is AR00112, so a 101. the head is a 105. I have an intake i can include in the sale. if you look at the detail picture something was fretting against it at some point but did not wear all the way into the water channel. The intake does not include a thermostat
