real fenders. In one of the front ones was a slip of paper with the trademark Delta sign laminated in it.
The van Asselt car used to be Bob and Harmens car, with lots of real stuff on it, but replica. Don't know if they still have it.
The other, I have spoken to the owner on one club day, back then. Don't recall. Nice car.
Mine was sold because thoroughly rotten, but it was all Squadra Bianca underneath, so had all the right goodies and was very fast on zandvoort. I did a 2.20 lap of the long track, believe it or not, on '77 vintage Goodyears, that sat on a set of wide Montreal Wolfrace wheels which had been lying in stock for 25 years.
Huge fun, the tires were fine except old, so it was like driving on plastic instead of rubber, it drifted so easily. Had totally great machanical grip, but none whatsoever on the tires. So totally controllable. With the right rear axle I did 240 Kph on the highway. With the short axle I did 100kph to 200 kph in ten seconds flat.
In fifth, without downchanging......
It was terrific fun. But very very tired after three years of trackdays , races AND doubling as a daily driver!

Hello members,

Here are some pictures of the Hezemans SRT (Stichts Racing Team) GTAm #1530848 which is still in Holland and with the same owner since the 70's.
The source of the pictures is the internet. I couldn't recall the site or exact source.

Ciao, Olaf

I have 1530848 in 1/43 scale model by Progetto K with the livery that Olaf provides in his pictures. I will try and post a picture of it.

Hello Takis,

Yes, your pictures are all the Dutch Hezemans car #1530848. I would like to see your scalemodel.
Autoart has anounced the Hezemans Autodelta Works GTAm in scale 1:18. This will be a great model of the 1970 Jarama Championship car.
No connections!

Hello members,

Here is another photograph of the Zandvoort circuit. If I am right, we are seeing three GTAm's in this picture. Toine Hezemans in front, Nico Chiotakis following him and Rob Slotemaker further back? Who can confirm this or correct me?

The fifth car is no. 24 Carlo Facetti with *1530776* (finished second overall), the sixth is no. 25, Gianluigi Picchi who won the race
Hello Martin and members,

So, if I am not mistaken, it is Hezemans out in front in the Autodelta S.p.a. works GTAm with startnumber #26 (was this chassisnumber #1530952 or another chassis)?
Hezemans did not finish because of an crash after his engine broke a conrod.

The second car we see is Nico Chiotakis with the Dutch National Racing Team GTAm with startnumber #37 and finished in 8th place. In the field was also Rob Slotemaker in the Racing Team Transavia Holland GTAm with startnumber #28 who finished 5th. If both these cars were Alfa Romeo Benelux, they could (in my opinion) be either #1530834, #1530840 or #1531210? Any confirmation or correction on that?

As you mentioned Gianluigi Picchi with the Autodelta S.p.a. works GTAm and startnumber #25 won the race.
Carlo Facetti was driving the Autodelta S.p.a. works GTAm with startnumber # 24 and came in 2nd.
There was apparently also a Jean-Marie Jacquemin from Belgium with a GTAm with startnumber #39?

By the way, also a lot of GTA 1300 Junior cars in this race! More info at http://homepage.mac.com/frank_de_jong/Races/1970 Zandvoort.html

Ciao, Olaf

Olaf, if GTAm #26 is chassis 1530952 it should have a plate number MI L27247, according to the book GTA by Maurizio Tabucchi. Are there any other pictures from the same race showing its plates?

Hello Takis,

Today I checked my copy of the Tabucchi 'Alfa Romeo GTA' book and the 'Alleggerita' book by Tony Adriaensens I have access to.

I couldn't find a picture of the 1970 Zandvoort 'Throphy of the Dunes' race with the Hezemans car carrying a licenseplate. So whether this is #1530952 remains uncertain as far as I am concerned. Maybe other members can tell us more.

What I do know is that Hezemans drove the GTAm with chassisnumber #1530849 during the 4 hours of Jarama in 1970.

Hello Takis and members,

And here is Hezemans in the white GTAm at Brno in 1970. The pictures came from the internet. No specific source recorded by me, sorry! By the way, no licenseplate visible on these pictures. According to 'Alleggerita' by Tony Adriaensens, this car was involved in an accident later in 1970 on the Nurburgring. Anyone that can confirm this?
In this race, the following 2000 GTAm's were raced:

car nr. #60 Alfa Romeo Benelux with Beckers - Franck
car nr. #65 Autodelta S.p.a. with Hezemans
car nr. #66 Autodelta S.p.a. with Zeccoli - Dini
car nr # 67 Autodelta S.P.A. with Galli
car nr. #68 Valvoline RAR Racing Team with Krammer - Fidanzia

And a lot of GTA 1300 Juniors were also present!

Ciao! Olaf

MI L27247 is GTAm chassis number 1530952, the first picture is from Nurburgring, I suppose and the second is from Monza. The pictures were found while surfing through google, I also checked through the books GTA by Maurizio Tabucchi and Alleggerita by Tony Adriaensens.
