Final systems are comming of the line and being test fitted on some cars as we speak. Hopefully if all goes well they will be available within the week. I'll keep you all posted.
Great news, thanks

The pipes are a great improvement over the Stebro. These tubes are actually mandrel bent. Can the man make just the front pipes 15" long? I can install a collector where one pipe is over the other so they would be of equal length. How much for the whole thing, lees the front muffler and with 15" long front pipes?

I just got these pictures and thought I'd give you guys a sneak peak at the system. More images to follow later in the week with some images of the same system installed on a spider. All comments are appreciated. Let me know what you think.

Looks great. Just one gripe: How about copying the original length and slanted angle on the tail pipe. Apart from looks it may also help reducing the likelihood of exhaust gases making it through the trunk seal into the interior.

Me Too. From the photo posted the tail piece looks like a clamp-on; if so it should be no problem to do this. What's the diameter of the pipe?

So what gives Simon? Is it worth it? Did it improve the engine response? Sure looks good!

Why have they bothered to keep the curve, "Bus stop" style in the middle of the car?
I think it is going to be worth it since the systems is mostly SS and will hold up well compared to any OEM models. Initial testing (prototype system) on a stock 1600 showed a slight improvement in both HP and TQ. A slightly modified to fully modified car would probably show better results and take advantage of the better air flow then the stock 1600 did.

We decided to go away from the OE length for production because of a few reasons. The OE length is a bit long for those who dont have rear bumpers on their cars and it was decided that this length would provide the best for those with or without. The topic of exhaust gases bleeding into the car seem to be mostly from bad seals or faulty systems so only some more testing will really tell.

Since the tip has had some mixed reviews some planning for a optional longer tip (more OEM) is being talked about. Stay tuned.

Right now two exit tip lengths are going to be available. One for GT's and another for Spiders. The diameter of the tubing is is 2.25".

The center section "bus stop" allows the exhaust pipe to tuck a bit higher into the drive shaft tunnel; the result is about one more inch of ground clearance --> important if you consider that this center section is most at risk for speed bump damage.

:)

I had one made and you do not need to have that curve in the middle of the car. It makes the pipe shorter, straighter for quicker exaust and eliminates the heavy transmission mount, this rubber gets worn fast anyhow. Can they make one without that and a shorter front dual pipes. 15"

Ditto on that. Now after that slight modification is made, I can place my order?:D

Simon, do you guys have a price on this yet? Also, does the relocation of the 2-to-1 pipe section have any effect on the sound? Will it be easy to ship? I live in Los Angeles. Guess I could pick it up, but I'm lazy/busy. Also, what brand do you represent? Phew...ok done!

Since its all SS at the tip, consider making it a bit longer (I'd guess the spider one is longer) as we can cut it shorter a lot easier than we can "cut it longer", and one piece would serve everyone ( at least those with a power saber saw or patience and a hack saw). even possible to cut the swoop angle if its long enough.

I'll go for the spider one anyway (for my Duetto with a 2L).

The alfaholics (England) pipes are 2 1/2 inches dia. Very much race oriented. Did you consider or test this size?

I am totally sold on this system, when available I'll get right in line for purchase! I was planning to put a Stebro system on my car (I loved the one that I had on my dearly departed 164 - great tone), but given the occasional difficulty of getting stuff from Stebro, and that this is being designed and fit by AlfaBB guys, I'm changing my mind now. Spring projects for the GTV are lining up!

Any updated news on the MF system for GTV's?
