I just know it was tested by Autodelta using a TZ engine. No more information available.

P.S Try to find a big article in 1964 QR. Giuseppe Busso described the story of the development. He provides a Monza lap time by Sanesi - 1.52.

Hello to you all.
I was maybe too hasty to close. As I am very interested to find more information an the Belgian drivers and result in the TZ.
I found the list on pal mares Belgique. The result of several years rase result. From 1950 to 1967
I 1965, the year the TZ came to Belgique, is the information that’s new to me.
Does anybody have the knowledge to spread light over this information.
Patte driving a Alfa Romeo GTZ , had the fastest time.
Patte can be a synonym, as we often see in Italian.
But does anybody have some information, some information that can shed the light on the Belgique activity.
All the best

Hi Bjarke

A bit pressed for time, and not really helpful, but a quick check of Wimpffen's Time and Two Seats, does not yield any divers with nickname "Patte". I believe more likely a real name.

A quick google search reveals a Jacques Patte racing a Volvo in Oct 1962 in the UK, also some references to a Gerard Patte racing at Le Mans in the '60s.....

I have found a little more on Jacques Patte.
As Richard mentioned he raced Volvo both the PV144 and 122 for Equipe Nationale Belge
The Volvo 122S he shared among others with Georges Hacquin, we know him in connection with SVZ ·
He raced Lotus Elan, there is pictures of him in connection with the Volvos and the Lotus.
He was a part of the Alfa Romeo team to Le Mans 1966, where Alfa Romeo didn’t start.
He should have been diving #77 together with Teddy Pilette and Eric de Kevn, for the team Ecurie Francorchamps. It was the Belgian team that took over after Equipe Nationale Belge, who closed by the end of 1965.
But so for I have been unable to find further connection to the Alfa Romeo TZ
But af he vas connected to the Belgian racing team Equipe Nationale Belge I would expect that his participation in a Alfa Romeo TZ in 1965, must be in relation with the fact, that the Belgian team was responsible with promoting a Alfa Romeo TZ on the track.
The question was this start the first start under the management of the Belgian team
1965 : Jacques Patte, sur Alfa Romeo GTZ (Grand Tourisme)
As i have mentioned :
I am egger or verry interested in any information on the TZ that ran in Belgian.

1966 IV Coppa CittĂ  di Enna
In this race, was there a start #40 driven by a synonym “Crui” his right name was Dr. Francesco Lo Dico. It was Sunday, 07 August 1966 at Pergusa circuit
He was unlucky, as he had at fatal accident.
1 found this picture, with the following text
Electronics translate from Italian.
“Dr. I say this at Alfa Romeo TZ in Pergusa. (scuderia Pegaso) sadly perished on the cursed day of 1966. A gentleman of the wheel. I touch me and Moscato funeral watch all night at the hospital in Enna.”
("... the fatal accident of Franco Lo Dico, who crashed into a rock out of a broad bend in his TZ").
Da det var et meget alvorligt uheld.
Så spørgsmålet er: blev bilen genopbygget efter dette uheld.’
Samt hvad er/ var chassisnummeret.
Der er kilde der angiver chassis 750029, men det er forkert.
If ANYONE DO HAVE INFORMATIONS ON THIS TZ I WILL BE PLEASED

Hello to you all - again
I am confused, and I am sleeping in a merry go round, and can’t find top or tail. Or see the Skye for the fog. And I am afraid I have confused my selves, by making a connection between 2 different persons Guido Bartolomeo and Bartolomeo Donato.

Guido Bartolomeo owned 6 TZ of which the chassis numbers of the 5 is known.

I have a question:

is Guido Bartolomeo the same person or has he any relation to Bartolomeo Donato, that ran the 1966 Taga Florio in #128 under the synonym of “Johnny Walker” together with Emanuele Traponi that used the synonym “Joselito”. Car Registration Palermo – PA147359

Is there any information on the Taga Florio car #128, that can connect it to Guido Bartolomeo.

The Taga Florio car #128 reg:pA 147359 is the same registration number as #40 that ran Coppa Citta di Enna on the 7 of August 1966, with the driver synonym “Crui” Dr. Francesco Lo Dico, who had a fatal DNF.

And it is the chassis number on this registration PA 147359 I am traying to trace.

Hello, to answer your question, I do not think Guido Bartolomeo is the same person or in relation with Bartolomeo Donato. The only information I know about him is that he had many TZ. I had the chance to see the last one he had in his warehouse in the east of Paris. The car had a missing door which later had been found in anther part of the building. This car together SZ chassis 64 are now in Italy with the same owner. He purchased both cars when Guido passed away.

Excuse me what is PRA?????????????
I have asked, a lot of organisations on Sicilian without any success including the Police.
Still hoping after a couple of month. But the first part of my collection of materiel will be realised, in August, with Part one
Part 2 in September
Pari 3 in November
And followed b part 4
In all there is more than 2500 papers and around approximately 3000 pictures- I haven’t count- for the first 10 years on racing TZ. Around 40 chassis numbers, that I count find racing history, is only mentioned.

Hi Bjarke

Excuse me what is PRA?????????????

Haha....one of the most useful sources for history/chassis nos/etc etc....just beaten to it by tipo160!

I am not in Italy at the moment so cannot help on this. But, I did check whimpffen again re 1966 TF and notice that the entrant of the TZ of interest is Pegaso - they also entered 3 or 4 other cars so a serious team. Googling them reveals a quite active interest, maybe another source for info?

Thank you Richards
Janos L.Wimpffen: Time and Two Seats Five Decades of Long Distance Racing.
Don’t give information on chassis numbers in general. But I sanction that is a verry informative book

Here is at list of the attenders in Taga Florio in 1966. Souse racing sports cars.
So I will be pleased if you do have the information, on this particular TZ.
Naturally if there is others that have the desired information on start #128 registration PA147359.
You are right the Pegaso team was an important participate in The taga Florio. They was sponsored by an Oil company Marathon, it was also a Sicilienne company.
The 1966 taga Florio was also interesting by another reason. Witch this referent states.
Protest in Taga Florio 1966
For the first time, the unforgettable Toti Sutera told me about this "story" of Targa 1966.
Yet, decades later, Toti recalled that "legislatively wrong" suffered in that edition of Targa of all those with TZ1.
All the "old TZ1" present that year, in private hands, competed between S1.6 and up to there ......... but the absurdity - he recalled - was that among S1.6 was also included the new more performing TZ2..... official (well they were 4).....
Above all, the leaders of Scuderia Pegaso strongly protested with the race verifiers, believing that TZ2 were not "homologated production cars" and "not put up for sale by the factory" and that therefore they must be in a different class.
A complaint was then pending, but....... nothing was done about it;
By mention this, can be a indication that #128 reg: Pa 147359, was a TZ2 in Corsa design. As it started????????
