stuck in gear is usually fixable in place , can be as simple as the selector rod coming loose or take the sump pan off and make sure the screw in the mid section has not come out , or the retaining clip has not come off the 5th / reverse selector rod ,

most enjoying this thread btw

if you wouldn't mind veloce sprint i have put threads in both the transmission section and the boxer engined alfas section i think under the name clutch problem (that was my first thought) and box clutch linkage problem in the other, these both highly detail the problem the transmission one i only put up last night (adelaide time) so no replies but that is probs best the one in boxer engined alfa's has replies so yeah if you could take the time that would be great

Greetings!

Well I can't really work on it at the moment as I'm currently in Germany :) will be back November 11 in time for Classic Adelaide.

I'm waiting on some quotes for wheels - looks like either the OZ Supperleggera or a Team Dynamics 17x7" rim is going to be the score. Not sure which yet, OZ's will be silver, TDs I can have any colour. If I get the black, I end up making my car look like flyboxer's though!!!

Pics will go online when I return :)

Back indeed!

We have a bit of cooler weather around at the moment so will be spending some evenings soon back on the car. I'm trying to knock off several projects at once so one just has to unfortunately prioritise.

Yes I still have that set of Simmons OM wheels to suit an Alfetta sedan/coupe or Guilietta. They are 17x7 and 17x8 (rears) with mint Yokohama A539 rubber. If anyone wants to drop me a sensible offer, send me a PM.

Happy New Year boxer enthusiasts :)

Yup still in Mawson Lakes. Have been back into it, albiet with limited time unfortunately. I've now got the front off the ground and all front suspension is off and in the process of being dismantled for the powder coating and fitment of Konis. Have decided to hold off on the brake caliper conversion until the car is built and registered - I'll never finish the car if I do all the mods first.

Worst is yet to come - I need to clean underneath with a high pressure water cleaner and then apply underbody sealer - yuk! Going to be about 3 weeks of evenings lying on my back with a scraper and a brush until the bottom of the car is clean enough to eat off of :)

Bump!

A little more progress - nearly finished welding up a temporary frame / trolley mount which attaches to the front suspension points and the rear gearbox mount to allow me to wheel the car around without the front suspension on. Need to get the car outside so I can clean the underside properly with a high pressure cleaner.

My plan is the fabricate a trolly mount frame for the rear end as well so that the underside is totally free of suspension components :)

Aside from Mike helping out a few weeks ago dismantling all the front suspension components, not a lot of progress to report unfortunately. I'm amassing parts for my sud project too, but alas I need more time (and $ would be nice too).

Photos coming soon,
~Benjamin
