On the tail lights I have noticed some have a red w/ white across the bottom. Some have red w/ a very faint white across the bottom. Some have one of each. I asked IAP about this and they said the red w/ bright white across the bottom are replacement euro spec tail lights and the ones that look almost solid red w/ faint white are original US spec. Anybody know for sure?

Best Regards,

The white on one of my lights was faded yellow and looked horrible. You won't be able to find the white ones any longer unless you are very very lucky....the new ones Alfa makes are just red in that area. I'll snap a pic when I have a chance.

Linearossa and Bruce's parts bin have the absolute best prices on these expensive light assemblies. I think I paid 160-170 a piece instead of 300. Also, when ordering the assembly make sure you ask the vendor to look at it...should have a sticker on it that denotes a US assembly. If not the lights are wired slightly differently than the european assembly. (found out the hard way on that one too) In any case, just make sure you get two matching assemblies!

Thanks all for the responses. Mine look like JP's on the left side of the picture (driver's side). Red w/ faint white. Now those are the original tail lights? Red w/ faint white? And the Red w/ bright white is eurospec?

The white paint just flakes off over time or yellows...obviously diminshing the color over time. Its a shame because I think it looks great.

The eurospec is just the difference in the turn signal...you'll notice a much yellower turn indication and when the parking lights are on, its yellower on the edge. Stands out like a sore thumb if you have a US spec light on the other side.
