Iam just curious to know where we breakdown numbers wise in terms of the various models of Bertone Coupe.

Multiple Coupe Owners

Just vote using your main coupe if you own multiple vehicles and post what you nominated and what you also own. I dont think the poll will be able to handle more than one vote per member.

I voted for my Series 2 1750 GTV.

I also have a 65 Giulia Spint GT

and a 1970 series 2 1300 GT Junior

The poll will only let you vote once. Thats why i suggested that people list what they have in a follow up mail.

'74 GTV Street/Track Car
'69 GTV Race Car
'74 Parts Car
'56 Giulietta Spider (I know its a Pininfarina car, but I love it!)

Doesn't someone out there have a car to donate to Simon?
Sure, I have a 1991 164QV sitting in my backyard. Simon, come pick it up, and you'll get it for free + a kiss from my wife - she really wants to get rid of it!

Oh, and I'm one of the 3 Series 1 or 2 1300 GTJ owners. Wouldn't it be cool to have a complete stat of the cars represented here at the BB? Simon?

Glad to see everyone is really getting into this thread. The stats are looking interesting and they do reflect what I always thought. 2000 are double the number of 1750s. That is no surprise to me and I thought we would be thin on Juniors of all descriptions. I always thought we had more s1 and 2 Junior owners than s3 and s4. The results on the sprint and sprint veloce were also predictable as they reflect their rarity. As for the GTA well we knew that we only had one or two GTA owners on the BB. I am sure we have a GTC owner amongst our ranks, anyone know who it is and if we can get them to poll so we have the car as a sample.

I think in the overall that the poll will probably reflect the production figures of the actual cars in real life. I need to consult my reference books . It is just a pity that people cannot poll multiple times so we could get the other cars recorded and get a more accurate picture.

Also we should stick to cars thta we currently own as we might get doubling up.

Cheers,

Phil

Yes, the one and only (until now) vote for Series 3 GT Junior 1300 or 1600 is mine for my 1973 GT1600, although I also own another 1967 GT1300 Junior series 1 which I prefer and I believe it's the best. :D

Ciao tutti,
Nino

I do like s3 juniors. We have plenty of these in OZ or at least we used to. I haven't seen one for a while. The body really looks good with the single headlight. Sometimes I wish the GTV had gotten this treatment.

I agree with you Phil. As you can see from my cars, I am a great fun of single headlight Alfas.

Yeah, a 1750 with single lights would be nice. Or I suppose you could drop a 1750 engine into an s3 junior and put in 1750 seats ,centre consul and wooden wheel. I am sure it has been done, somewhere. I might do it oneday.

Wouldnt it be easier to put single Junior single headlight grille on a 1750?

Actually, I never liked the single headlight junior much. "too much space between the eyes" - if you know what I mean. Looks "empty". Double headlights are "too much" - looks crowded on a small car such as the Bertone.

Now, the stepfront grille, as we all know, is sheer perfection, beautifully balanced and elegant as Giugiaro the master intended it!:D

Because you can only vote once.
To make a complete overview, everybody would have to submit a list of their cars, and someone would have to compile that.
A friend of mine owns a Sprint Veloce, a GTC, a GTAjr, and a 2 L. He's debating what to drive to the convention.
Decision, decisions - what a bummer to be in that position. To make life easier for himself, he could donate one ore more of the cars to Simon.;) I for one, would take the GTA.:)

Interesting post. I just did a quick count of those who have posted a note indicating ownership of multiple examples. So far it's 7 out of 56 or 12.5% of the votes. The coupes NOT accounted for so far would add another 20% to the total count.
