I got 5 of 6 that turn on and play FM radio, none have workable cassette players. Number 6 won't even trun on.

However, the new ebay buy a Chrysler one with CD and cassette works fine so now I have to cut off mounting tabs so it fits 164 dash.

Wow... I'm going to think twice now about buying some I saw on Craigslist for cheap.

I don't know about these pretty pricey even with aux jack installed.

I got good used one recently for less than $40 off ebay.

 

Did you have to put in a code for the Alfa radios (was told thats the case in the Milanos) ?

Do you know of a way to fix the back and forth cycling ?

 

No coded needed for 164 USA radios.

No I have a couple cycling, too.

 

I installed the same radio from a Sebring into mine. Eventually I'm going to upgrade to a newer Pioneer unit but since I've been recently forced to park out in the street, Ill keep it simple. The only thing that's wrong with the current radio is that the volume knob requires very slow turns for it register a volume change. It can be annoying, but I can live with it.

 

I need to test the new used Dodge radio I got off eBay before i cut off mounting tabs and if good install it in BB2.I got two "cassette" inserts for MP3 music makers but no MP3 music makers yet. Probably will test with something my daughter uses.

Are there any particular model numbers for Chrysler Dodge CD/CASSETTE/Radio players that I must look for?

My fourth OE radio/cassette now fails to play cassettes and I don't have time to start figuring out that technology.

I need my music.

I thought I had an aftermarket CD/Radio in my warehouse but it is also faulty after spending several hours getting the wiring right.

Either I buy a new aftermarket CD/Radio or I stick with one of those older Chrysler/Dodge units which fit nicely and look like the original.

This seems to be what I am looking for.....

Yep that is it and you have to saw off both mounting tabs.
