I have a 1982 GTV 6 with the US DOT speedo, 6 digits, 85MPH max. I need to change it and was wondering if the euro one with the 5 digits will work or it needs mods?

I've looked into swapping out the 85mph speedo. But the connector to the wire harness (on the back of the speedo) is different so I doubt its a simple swap.
