I own a 1971 GT 1300 Junior, it mounts the standard 165/80R14 with "big hubcap" wheels. I need to soon replace my Barum tires, they are wearing out. I will probably replace them with more appropriate Cinturato's or Michelin's.
Even though I like the current wheels, I have been toying with the idea of changing wheels as well with something "GTA style" like those sold by Alfaholics and Classic Alfa.

- Based on your experience, which tire size would you recommend for a GT Junior? Should I keep the 165R14 or mount a wider/bigger tire? Any advantage/disadvantage in having a bigger wheel on this type of car?
- If I decide to keep the original 165R14 tire size, what wheel width do I need? The GTA style start from 6" width, will they work?
