Gearbox disassembly

Almost complete, I've removed the shift forks. The main gear set doesn't seem to budge off the case, though. I used a rubber mallet to try and tap it loose to no avail. Didn't want to bang too hard on it and wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. Seems like it should have popped out as easy as the other gear set

Actually there is no need to pull the shift rods or even loosen the 1st/2nd ot the 3rd/4th shift forks from the shift rods.
Simply remove the reverse/5th shift fork bolt that holds it to the shift rod. Then ted entire mainshaft assembly can be pried out easily with two long screw drivers, one on each side.
