This car has been discussed in earlier posts/threads.
The big question; does this car have a chassis number? Or is it an unnumbered replacement chassis from Alfa Romeo, that was used to built this car. Interesting. 😎

Ciao, Olaf 👌🍀

Dear members,

I have a clarification question on the 1750 GTAm.

In my life time, I have only seen vehicle identification papers reading 1750 GTV instead of "1750 GTAm".

That makes sense because the GTAm's were roadlegal in several countries under the 105.51 (or 105.44) type 1750 GTV approval.
Think of countries such as Italy, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Great Britain, etc.

My question:
Has anybody ever seen papers of genuine road registered 1750 GTAm car with "1750 GTAm" instead of 1750 GTV?
My initial answer would be "no", but I am not 100% sure. Curious what you think or know.

Ciao, Olaf 👌🍀

Dear members,

Is the time ready to try to set up a list with pictures of presentday 1750 GTAm's with their location? As complete as can be?

KenGTA suggested this earlier. 🍀 Consider it a challenge, Ken! 😉

Members: Please feel free to add your contribution. In no specific order. I'll be adding relevant posts to other chassis numbers as well.

Please note that the chassis number of the car should be mentioned in post #500 on page 25 of this thread.i
That way, we can make links from the chassis number list to the individual posts here and elsewhere on alfabb.

I'll start.
Copied from the chassis number list:

# 1357840 Copy.
Monzeglio Squadra Corse, round front indicator lights, CT licenseplate, copy of the real car according to the sellers of this vehicle.

Additions:
  • Car exists 2024. Located in Germany or Italy? Please correct me. 🍀
  • See the 2019 add below by RSHistorics with specific data on the condition and the history of this car. Pictures of and results/entries for this car are available on alfabb and the internet.

# 1530849 GTAm.
Autodelta SpA 27-01-1970, history mentioned by A,D&Ü, licenseplates MI K92422 / HGN-19K.
Today the car features a hanging pedals set up. The most plausible reason for that, is that the bodyshell on this car was swapped at some point. Because of damage during racing for example. Or during restoration. The thread on the car below explains this further.

The car exists, is for sale in 2023 and is located in Germany.

It has a two liter (16V) engine based on a 1750 engine block and is unrestored. It hasn't been touched since the late 70's or early 80's.
Car exists and is located in the Netherlands (2024).
I am going to visit the owner to have talk about this specific 1750 GTAm.

Ciao, Olaf 👌🍀

#1531231 Is in Greece right now in private collection, i have saw this car and it is in very good condition, it has been restored in 80s because it had a accident before but i don't know if has been restored in Greece for second time..

This is the car that featured in the Maurizio Tabucchi GTA book, but since then has a lot of changes, more stickers, different seats etc

I didn't take one today but will take pictures when I visit him to talk about his 1750 GTAm. I have some documentation and pictures for him. Added a picture in the post of a magazine. Shows the rear of the car.

#1531039 This car is currently in France in private collection, it had bumpers in the 70s but they removed it, i don't know if it has been restored.

i have spoken with the owner and he sent me some pictures of how the car is today.

Unfortunately i can't upload them.

Only this photo that i found in a site that shows of how the car is today.
