Yesterday I had a problem with the wire to open the trunk ... it was broken when I pulled it ... ... I can still open it using pliers ....

Do you have any photos of how to reassembly it? ... I have been reading some topics about wires in the forum but couldn't find any clear photo ...

Thanks for your help!

Javier,
A couple of questions for you. Has the wire split or frayed, or did it get detached from the hardware?
If detatched, is it from the handle in the door post, or from the release mechanism in the trunk?
Let us know so we can figure out what type of picture to look for. I *might* have some of the handle in the doorpost (can't take any right now because the car is with Daron in WA), but I'm not sure if I have anything else.

Javier,
I looked through the photos I have from disassembling my car, but I can't find any of the trunk release, so I'm going by memory.
First, detach the handle from the bodywork by removing the screw under the handle. The only way to access wire on the inside is by removing the trim panel on the inside. When the handle is free, you should see that the wire is formed into a loop and attaches to the handle with a bolt, threaded through the release mechanism.
Perhaps someone on the board has an illustration from the service manual. I'm sorry I don't have any photos that are helpful.

exit19 - A picture really is worth a thousand words! Much clearer than my description (and memory) could describe it.

Hello Javier, to reach the cable must remove the side trim panel and you'll see that the handle is caught with a U-shaped plate and a 8mm nut, to open the trunk just take pliers pressure and stretched with wire rack, will need another person to open the trunk lid while the other stretches the cable, good luck
