Considering a purchase of the Spruell Headers.

Looking to hear experience(s) of others who were like-minded and took the plunge.

I have a '74 GTV 2000.

Wondered if there were any fitment, clearance and/or heat build-up issues to adjacent components.

What's your experience(s)?

Thanks.

My knowledge and experience applies to race cars only. Be very careful to make sure they are mounted correctly. Otherwise cracks are common.

I have them on my s4 spider. Look great and sound great! If I was able to clear the power steering box and the tighter engine bay you shouldn't have any problem getting them into your car. Proper mounting is important, and definitely get them ceramic coated as it makes a huge difference.

I don't have a heat shield on my booster (but it is on my to do list!) and haven't had any issues yet. I've had the car at a few auto cross events and through a few hard dyno sessions.

GZman - did you install the Spruell header? I was thinking of purchasing a ceramic coated Spruell header too.
How did they turn out. And if you didn't why not?

I compared online with the Alfaholic's SS and the equal length "Migale" header that OKP and AW Alfa sells. Also Centerline has a ceramic coated header. Vintage Custom used to carry a Darstan header - don't know what happened, but they don't seem to have them anymore.

As a price / performance comparison, Spruell seems to come out on top. But not many installed for street cars, as compared to Alfaholics SS.

Thanks,
Matt

I like both the AH SS ones, and the Spruell CC. Have the AH system set for my Super, Spruells are on the 67 1750 GTV,
for a compete SS system AH seems hard to beat, if I was buying jsut headers,, Id do the Spruells with coating.
