Recommendation for an Alfa shop in Connecticut

Hi All,

A friend of mine recently acquired a 1961 Alfa Giulietta Spider. He lives in Westport Connecticut and is in need of a competent, and hopefully caring, mechanic. After consulting the AlfaBB shop directory I found the 3 nearest shops that sound promising:

-International Motor Sport in West Haven, CT
-Dominick European Car Repairs in White Planes, NY
-Auto Turismo Sport Ltd in New Milford, CT

Can anyone recommend anyone of these shops? Does anyone have a recommendation for any other shop that is within 40 or so miles of Westport?

There’s one in Stamford that my buddy brings his MG B to. Don’t remember the name of the shop but it’s back behind Stamford Twin Rinks. My friend moved to Rhode Island and still drives the 4+ hours to have this guy work on it. I’ll reach out and see if I can get the name

This shop is reasonable and was my PO's go-to guy. I spoke to him and he knows his stuff. Very honest IMHO.

You can try The Paddock Classic Cars in New Britain. They specialize in Alfas and the owner races his vintage Alfa at Lime Rock. I've found them good to work with.

The best of both worlds would be a competent mechanic and favorable location.
Europa Motors in Hamden would be my recommendation and if you want a complete shop, Paint body work and mechanics I would recommend The Paddock, in New Britain.
