What a beautiful car.
There are two types of brake master cylinders for the vacuum assisted and non vacuum assisted roundtails, single circuit. Counter intuitively, the larger one goes with the vacuum assisted system. Do you have the correct sizing?

I did not think to disassemble my replacement 69 M//C before I installed it, but luckily, it works fine. With all the effort to put in a M/C, you are correct, it would not hurt to verify there are no shavings.
I had a 69 M/C reseleeved once, and the resleeved M/C had some sharp edges that cut up my seals. That was a hard lesson. This one I put in was not a resleeve.

Where did you buy the brake master cylinder from? That was a very expensive purchase.

That's great, but that was time expensive. I would be interested in knowing what was wrong with the MC.
