Humbled to have been appointed Captain of the Vintage and Classic Register (RL, 6C, 8C, 2600, 270 & 101 series cars) for the Alfa Romeo Owners Club of Australia (Vic).
My link to this group is the 1956 Giulietta Spider 750D, which we have been custodian of for 2.5 years. It has been an amazing journey re-commissioning a good car that has traveled only about 3000 miles in about 25 years.
While it is exercised regularly, we have brought this car up to the next level of performance and appearance and taken it back to its American specs and detailing. It has done well with a Finalist Ribbon and 2nd in Post War Open Class at the 2018 Motorclassica Concours d' Elegance and third place at the 2018 AROCA Vic Concorso. We want to learn more about these pretty PF designed cars that perform beyond expectations for 1300 cc. We are particularly keen to hear from custodians of 750 series cars.
Looking forward to meeting fellow Giulietta drivers on line and in person at events . . . and also to discovering the story of those much earlier Alfa models covered by this register.
