When these cars were new, all oil was high zinc. It has only been in the past 10 to 15 years that lack of zinc has become an issue. As for weight, the recommendation for these was always between the 10w40 to 20w50 range. Unless you are running a car in cold temps, the heavier weight oil is generally considered better.
