1959 Touring Spider Rebuild from 283 SBC to Giulia 2.0 Turbo

Soooooooooooooo. short version, I bought a 59 with a 283 in it its been on & off CL for years? I know I had emailed seller several times with no responce, until recently I doubt it could ever be reasonably restored back to stock Basically a roller with non stock everything I filled a trashcan...

Agreed. Custom welded-up pan and modified oil pickup.

How wide is the engine? How tall? Where is the intake and air metering assembly? Where is the turbo located?

I don't. Just cut everything out including cross member. Only leave front ends of chassis rails. Put engine in and redesign/build front suspension and cross member.

Much easier than worrying about oil pump pick up during cornering, etc.
