TDC marks and cam placement

OK, i have lined up my cams to the TDC timing marks on the cam caps and am confused somewhat.

I expected the cams to be opposed to each other, but currently all the lobes appear to face the same way. Also, at TDC (according to the marks) my no. 1 exhaust valve is slightly open, which surely should not be the case at true TDC.

Help please. :confused::)

If you look closely, each cam has TWO timing marks on it, each 180 degrees out from the other. This allows the cams to be used as either intake or exhaust cams.

I think one of your cams has been set using the wrong timing mark. AT TDC #1, the lobes should face away from each other.
