Mine moves position with the smallest bump. I bought a mint one off of Ebay and it seems the same way. ive looked for a way to tighten the ball joint but cant find one....Robb

I improved one, the first step was to repair cracks on the flat area on the back of the socket with JB Weld. Then I wrapped cotton thread, whetted in JB Weld, around the socket several times. This should be done with the ball removed to get better tension on the joint but makes it hard to get the ball back in.
