Hi papajam,
I'm looking for a wiring diagram for my 1968 Spider 1750 (roundtail).
The previous owner didn't mark anything and he left me some cut wires as well.
Could you please send me a wiring diagram for my car?
It's an european model.
Many thanks.

Best regards,
farmabremen

Wish to put the above in context. I was having an intermittent starter issue with my 1968 spider AR1411625/1750 Webbers. Searching the bb I first put in the starter relay which the first time worked, then didn't a reminder that it was intermittent. Starts/clicks/nothing. Next stop was a new ignition switch-thank you Classic Alfa who also sent along where to attach the four wires- red, black, brown, green/black. Of course it has not solved the problem- most recently a hot Bosch Blue coil where green/black is attached to 15. Also now have a new starter from Classic. Tightened. cleaned grounds, got quicker taking of Webbers. Early on checked battery which was ok, but bought a new 24F for my Milano/75 and when installed it worked, but learned that 24's come in different heights 7-9in with shorter needed. On the original ignition switch a Bosch(unknown model) brown&green/ black attached to same lug. On the new Sipea red goes to 30 and black to 50, but now brown 54 and green black to 16. I'm out of ideas except my above request for a color wiring diagram. I've owned the car 35yrs with no wiring changes which looked original when I bought it running

The ticking noise means low voltage to the starter. Have you had the starter out of the car and tested it with jumper cables on the floor? What happened? If starter worked, you can R/O bad starter.
Next, start with the battery fully charged, With starter still installed on the car, what happens when using a remote start switch to energize the solenoid?
Normal starter operation indicates a good earth ground for the starter. Poor starter operation indicates poor earth ground..If the starter works with direct 12v to the solenoid then check voltage into the solenoid when trying to start the car with the key. If it is less than 12V, keep working back until you find 12v.
