Juli 2013 i started a topic on our .nl site.
1-2 years earlier i bought a set 17" Zender Stern wheels, those would perfect fit for my white 164 Zender version (in the first place my black QV).
After hitting the sidewalk the project started.
My white lady has already several Zender parts, now it's time to give her the Zender highheels.

The reason i had to repair the rims.

The first rim i did about 6-7 years ago, it ended somewhere in a corner. The past weeks i got inspired again to do something with the 164's and picked up the rims.
Hereby a picture view.

The paint has been chemical removed from the wheels and glass blasted.

4x 36 bolts needed to be drilled and taken out. it took some time but when i put the new ones in....i forget it.

Sanding some little damage with 120, 180, 240, 320, 400 en 600 waterproof.

]

After waterproof sanding with 600 i used sisal-, cotton- and flannel polishing wheels with different polish cream.
The result.

Time to cover the parts so i can add the primer.

The difference between the blasted rim and polished wheelcap.

To be continued:
The paint will be filled in spray cans to paint the inside and spokes.
