Hey Fred.
Had a 1967 GT350 (my second car) when I was younger... At the time I thought it was amazing... drove one recently - I am spoiled by my Alfas....

Thanks to the reminders above... I'll also add:

1961 Lincoln
1956-57 Lincoln Continental MK II (despite the lack of brakes)

I once owned 1966 Charger, as well (black, w/ 383 4bbl, 4 speed). The dashboard looked like a B-52 ****pit when lit up. And the way the seats, consoles, and truck panel folded created a station wagon, when needed. Pretty slick!

The original Batmobile was actually a Lincoln concept car (Futura, I think was the name), with the double-bubble glass roof.

Not sure if that was the Batmobile you were referring to. Or, all the Batmobiles over the years in movies, and on TV?

This thread is nothing without pictures... :)

Ok,

I'm sure I'll think of 10 more in a few minutes, but this list is pretty close to my all time favorite cars I'd like to own, drive and wax...

Ford - 1962 Mustang, rear-engine 'prototype'.
Ford - 1964 GT, 'prototype', specifically.
Shelby - Cobra, all.
Shelby - Mustang, all.
Pontiac - 1969 Firebird Trans Am, specifically .
Chevrolet - 1963 Corvette Stingray, split-window, specifically.
Dodge and Plymouth - Superbirds, all.
Studebaker - 1960's Avanti, all.
Ferarri - 1970's Dino 246, specifically.
Alfa Romeo - (one-off) Jankovits 6C 2300, specifically.

My lust list. The first three are cars I once owned and wish I still did. The rest are ones I lusted after for a long time.

Alfa 1750 GTV

E Type Jag

1933 MG J2

Birdcage Maseratti

Mini Cooper S (Original)

Ford GT40 (Original) Drove one once around Mid-Ohio a few laps.

Bugatti Type 35B (This is at the top of the lust list.)

Ferrari 250 GTO (Speaks for itself.)

Arnolt Bristol Bolide

[EDIT] I just realized I missed this one.
D Type Jag

And the runner up, just missing the cut, is the Blower Bently from the 1930s.

I would have to kick myself if I didn't add the 1962-63 Chevy Corvair Monza GT!
There was also a roadster version of this (the SS)... nearly as beautiful. But the roof is the highlight of this creature.

This car was intended to be GM's offering as a poor man's Corvette. But we can thank Ralph Nader for killing that. Kiss my tookus, Ralph!

I got the chance to sit in this car back in the mid-60s, down in the catacombs at the GM Tech Center. I might be tempted to suggest that I hadn't washed the butt that sat in that driver's seat, since. But I'm afraid that you'd lose all respect for me!

I'll also second those votes for the original Ford GT40, and the Ferrari 250 GTO.

Hmmm, okay time for me to update my own list:

1. Alfa Romeo 2900B coupe. Just the best.
2. Ferrari 250LM. IMO the best Ferrari and the last that could be driven on the road but also be a competitive race car.
3. Alfa Romeo 159 Alfetta. Still in love with this car after seeing one at Phillip Island last year.
4. Alfa Romeo 8c2300 Spider.
5. Maserati 250F lightweight.
6. Alfa Romeo T33/2 coupe.
7. Ex-works Alfa Romeo GTA.
8. Maserati Bora.
9. Alfa Romeo 1750 Series II.
10. Maserati Quattroporto from the late 80's.
