so I bought 2 qts for my flush :)oactually for the GTV) instead of the Castrol LMA Dot 4 that I normally would use. I think I'll try the Dot 3 in another "classic" I have that developed a loss of free play issue :(after I switched from Syn to the Dot 4. We'll see what happens:).

Based on info I've received over the years from vintage racing folks, I use the Ford Heavy Duty DOT 3 stuff. It has a really high boiling point. I don't know if it really makes a difference, but I feel better and don't have to splurge for the 5.1 Motul liquid gold stuff.

Well, I want to do it this weekend and instead of riding around all over the place looking for a dinosour like Dot 3, I stopped in my favorite auto parts store Pep Boys  and all they had in Dot 3 was 'ol Gunk Brand. I would have liked something more exotic, but for now anyway, it's cleaner than what's in there now.:)

As Jim stated in the other thread, 3, 4 & 5.1 are all compatable with each other.
