Thanks for the reply. I'm looking for a non-1980 pump. Apparently these are different beasts and my car was already backdated to the older pump and FI setup.

This is why I converted my ‘74 to carbs. SPICA is fantastic but parts and servicing is difficult and I expect only to get harder in the future. I’m sure someone out there has an old pump. Best of luck

I have a good Spica pump available.
It is on an engine that was running fine when I pulled it from my 1974 Spider.
(I pulled the engine because it was leaking copious amounts of oil - I replaced it with a rebuilt engine and I'm now using carbs.)
It is still on the engine (see pics - the last pic is the new engine.)


I would want $150 plus shipping.

Hi - This may be a long shot but I'm looking for a good SPICA pump for my 2.0 Spider. My car is a 1980 but the prior owner backdated the SPICA system to the non-weird pre-80/81 setup. My current pump is leaking and I'd like to get the car back on the road right away. Please PM me if you have a pre-1980 SPICA pump for sale that is confirmed to work.

What does this mean? Has it been rebuilt? Has is been pressured tested for leaks?

It means... it is still on the engine that was running just fine when I pulled it out of the car.
It is still on the engine shown in the picture.

Sounds like desperation. Thats fine. For everyone else, just beware, a 40 to 50 year pump that comes off a good running engine doesn't necessarily mean its not a leaker. I've done many tests from good running Spica engines only to find out that the injection pump was a leaker or in the earlier stages of a leaker by doing pressurized bench tests on the pistons and barrels.
