Several years ago when I first joined this forum I bought a 2000 engine from another member.

Now finally trying to get it into running order.

In order to do so I need a starter, distributor - cap -wires, and the two bolts at the top of the bell housing.

Engine is sitting on my test stand waiting.
Weber carbs, if that makes any difference to what distributor work best.

HI, I have multiple starters and distributors with wires including Marcello Plax. What year and model?

Not sure what it's from anymore, Alfetta, not Spider as I recall.
Been rebuilt, not stock, has euro cams or maybe a little better.
Later model Weber intake conversion from SPICA, header exhaust.

I could get the engine numbers if that helps.

Prices?

Forgot to get the engine numbers.
But here's a pic of where I'm at.

Have to run the exhaust backward to clear the test stand.
Still need to put the carbs on and make an idler pulley for the water pump belt.
Have to run some coolant hoses and ignition/starter circuits too.
Making the engine adapter plate and motor mounts should mean the hard part is done.

Will use an old Allen SEA and ETA for tuning.

What!!!!!!!!!

Just to point out the obvious...

The header angles exiting the head are absolutely unusable.

Really?

Headers fixed.

Hated to cut up my good spare set of headers.
Seems these got expensive when I wasn't looking, even in rough shape.
I kept the cuts below the "Y's" so I should be able to resurrect them later if needed.

Made the mistake of buying a too new vehicle, so of course the ECM is defective.
Off to get another in the morning.
Have to make it run well to dump it and get something older, without any computers.
Once that is sorted out I will be able to get back to the Alfa distributor, starter, etc.
