Looking for an '83 + Spider in good shape... must run reasonably well, straight, rust free body. Service history a plus.

I'm not looking to spend more than $5,000. Prefer red, but flexible on colors.

Please let me know if you have or know of anything! send me a PM.

I should note that I'm located in metro Dallas, but I'm willing to drive to fetch a car.

Looking to purchase something sooner than later as the driving season is upon us here in Texas! I'm Alfa-less for the first time in years and I really miss having a Spider.

Did you check Dallas Craigslist? I think there were some there.

Usually some in Austin as well.

Garrick,

Thanks. I appreciate it... I can't get into the pre-83 rubber bumpers. I'd prefer chrome bumpers, but those cars tend to be out of my range.

The red one in Austin ('86 or so) looks rough for the money.

This one looks really good, and the price is certainly very reasonable: "FS: 1989 Spider Graduate – 66k miles – Boston area"

Best regards,

Hi all

STill looking... I drove 4+ hours yesterday to go look at a red/tan '90 that just wasn't quite as described. "Rode hard and put up wet" describes its condition pretty well.

So... because I don't really want to do that again, I'm going to really limit myself to local-ish cars (or cars with a solid service history).

Unfortunately that Boston car is just too far away. I'm not comfortable buying a car sight unseen. Thanks!

Yeah, it really is. I was really disappointed with my trip yesterday... a long drive to see a ragged out Spider (mechanically). I'd really rather find one localish.
