My racing junior's Rev counter, and Oil pressure gauge (actually, water temp too) is very inaccurate. Revs flops up and down by about 500 to 1000RPM, and oil pressure and water temp goes left and right depending on corners.
So I bought an aftermarket oil pressure gauge, plus sensor. It measures 0-5Bar, and the sensor has a 'G' and 'WK' terminal on it. So I put it in, wire the 'G' terminal to the 'G' on the Gauge. But when I start the car, it goes to max pressure, and then stays there. I also have a VDO gauge and sensor, also 0-5Bar, and also G and WK terminals. Does the same thing. The stock unit doesn't show what unit it is measuring, but it is at 30 at idle.
I am assuming that is 3.0Bar? Any Ideas guys?
The Gauge is wired correctly, it clearly states '+' and '-', and then 'G'.
