My '74 Spider has a very nice top installed and it generally fits well, except for a gap above the 1/4 windows at the windshield.

Any advice on what my issue is here, does the top need to come forward to fill this gap (not sure how I would do that, it clamps nicely to the windshield header) or should the forward top weatherstrip fill in this space or ?

Your side flap appears to be the old design. The one on mine, installed 18 years ago, is much more angular with a pointed end that mimics the angle of the windshield frame and completely fills the gap.

Thanks guys, sounds like it probably not worth the hassle to try and correct it via readjusting the top. Might see if I can come up with some sort of attachment to the top to fill the gap.

I'm surprised how little air comes in when driving so that's not an issue but obviously it's not exactly weatherproof.

Lol, true.

Perhaps I'll just consider it a factory option, the "Ventilazione Fresca" package
