Here are some videos I took at the big track with OpenTrackRacing on 9/8/07. I was running the advanced group which allows open passing. I had a great time and I set a personal record of 1:39.7. I hope I can repeat that time on Oct 13-14 in the TT.
Enjoy.
Roy.
Here are the links to the videos (just do a search on RKT ROY on Google Videos and they should show up). Sorry about the camera shake, I've since tightened the wing nut on the mount.

Nice graph RKT ROY. What software/hardware did you use to record and plot the different speeds?

DriftBox

Jorge,
I use a DriftBox (you can see it in the video next to my mirror). It is a GPS and accelerometer based performance meter and lap timer. www.driftbox.com Or for a few hundred dollars less you can go with a PerformanceBox from the same manufacturer http://www.performancebox.co.uk/ - just doesn't measure drift angles, a feature I don't use anyway. Vince Rinner has one too.

Come look me up this Oct at Willow Springs (I paid Terry already and reserved my room at the Best Western) and I'll show it to you along with the analysis software.

Cool graphs - I'll be very curious to see your software and a demo as well.

BTW, you can probably gain some time by going faster through turn 8 - if you have the traction... Most cars can go flat out on the back straight and through turn 8.

My car is not traction limited, but the driver is courage limited!
Maybe on 10/14 I'll see if I can hold 120mph through turn 8?

Very attractive system, and probably the price is ok.
Since uses GPS, do you have to pay for the sat. reception?
I certainly want to check it out at Willow. (Although I prefer to check out your hardware at the track, not at the Best Western ;)) Sorry, I couldn't resist.
