Who is Scott Shadle?
This guy claims to be the All-Knowing, All-owning Milano guy, but recently, he scammed me on ebay.
From the looks of it, he also scammed other Alfisti. Now, I use the term "scammed" loosely because he bid and won several items but then didn't pay, nor return e-mails or calls - at least 20 in all. So I was out $300 - and others; burned outright.
From the looks of his feedback on ebay, it's fast becoming a trend of his. One Alfisti went as far as calling him an "***-Clown" for burning him on a deal. A German seller said something really bad about him in German. Now, I don't speak German but the words that were used didn't look pretty. LOL
So, here I am asking this small Alfisti Community; Who is Scott Shaddy...err, ah, I mean Scott Shadle?

I also wanted to let you all know that if he comes your way and says he'll buy something from you......RUN as fast as you can in the other direction!!!
He IS NOT worth your time or effort to deal with. His ebay feedback says it all.
If you sell stuff on ebay, beware of cinquemilano , look under Community on ebay and type in his user name - you'll see what I mean. Any Alfisti that treats other Alfisti the way he has, should have their Alfa's confiscated, and put behind the wheel of a Yugo.

I just wanted you all to know, and to BEWARE!!

Assuming it's the same Scott Shadle, he used to be a fairly regular contributor to the Alfa Digest. I think he worked at the NHTSA or something, he'd weigh in with real data from time to time on various discussions.

While I've never bought or sold anything from/to him, I've always had pleasant dealings with him. Met him once in person, I think at the Alfa Watkins Glen event a few years ago.

Too bad things aren't going so well on EBay, doesn't sound like the guy we all used to know..

bs
He's purchased several Milano items from me on eBay in the past, and has always communicated and paid promptly. This was several years ago, however. I haven't had any dealings with him in the last 2 years, at least.

I hope he gets it together and resolved the situation.

My dealings with Scott have been fair. He seems like a reasonable guy, but is really slow to pick up parts.

In FEBRUARY, he bought some Milano parts from me, since I live in PA, and he is in MD, he asked if he could drive up and pick up in person... I said no problem...

The parts are still sitting in my garage!!! Eight months later... with no replies to my e mails to pick up his parts!!

Any one know how I can get a hold of him more directly?

Cheers
Martin.

My recollections are similar to Brian Shorey's. I always thought Scott's digest postings were thoughtful, informed, and informative. Wonder what's going on?

I drive a Yugo  I have also had many no sales to the Schadle bros. At least 3 different user names have been used. A previous thread was started concerning sellers problems with Milanotwins. At that time I spoke well of him. cant' do that this time. I do find it odd that he doesn't follow thru on the hard to find items.
In the Benson book Illustrated Alfa Romeo Buyers Guide photos and cars photographed are attributed to Scott Shadle. As Milano Twins on ebay he purchased items from me no problem, but this was a couple years ago.

Thank you. I couldn't place the name, the Benson book reference put it together for me.

Since I don't e-bay shop for Alfa parts or otherwise, I have no experience with named party other than having met him when Joe was writing his book.
