I've just replaced my head and cams. I know I need to time the cams to TDC (supposedly marked P), however I can see two timing marks on the pulley but cannot read P or M on either. I know that when the bottom end was rebuilt recently the timing pointer was checked and matched the TDC mark exactly, so I don't need to go through the process of checking TDC.
So, when looking at the engine from the front of the car, which is furthest in a clockwise direction please? TDC or maximum advance? I know I should be able to work it out with the logic of moving the car forward and sensing the rotation of the pulley, but I'm nervous that if I get it wrong it will be a V expensive mistake. Thanks, Stuart
