Having trouble finding 12mm x 1.50 pitch (19mm outer hex ) acorn nuts for the head. Would like to find stainless, but at this point would be happy with anything that's better than what I have. Suggestions ?? Thanks.

Stainless will generally be inadequite for the heads - not nearly strong enough. Stock nuts are very high grade hardened steel. Usually black nitrided. BTW the matching head washers are also special hardened steel. Hare to even match OEM nuts.

Robert is right, you would not want SS for head bolts...
