Hey guys,

I know this may sound like a question related to a topic that has been beaten to death... but please hear me out...

I have an 81 GTV6, and I purchased a set of 164 wheels with new tires off ebay. I posed the question a while back about fitting ... and the consensus was that the wheels needed to be modified at least for the front hubs.

I ground out the 2mm required to fit.. but the 164 wheels didnt have an offset compatible with the GTV6 brake calipers.

SO I used a set of 164 Spacers to give me the clearance I needed...

My question is.. does this sound like a reasonable solution... OR am I in for a world of hurt later on...

Opinions are welcome.

Thanks
Martin.

Martin,
I would think as long as your spacers are allowing your wheels to spin freely, you'll be fine. The lug nuts hold the rim in center and your calipers aren't hitting. You should be ok. You may want to ask a tire shop what they think and have them check your alignment. -Clark
