Hello,

I am looking at getting a set of those Panasport 15x7 wheels for my 93 Spider. They recommend 205-60-15 tires. I was thinking of going with 225-50-15 tires. Has anyone tried this on a S4? They seem like they would fit.

The main reason is I like that low wide look.

Thanks.

I have the Panasports 15 x 7's and I run 205/50/15 for the track use and 205/55/15 for the street. At full crank I get a slit rub on the front inside inner fender.

Knowing this I would say 225/50/15's would be too wide.

We have Bridgestone Potenza 225's on my wife's Spider CE (from the PO), and they are too much tire for the Spider. They will rub at the rear on full suspension jounce, guaranteed.

They will be sold and replaced with a good 205/50-15 tire at first opportunity.

225s

I have the Serpent Autosport 16x7.5 rims and have been running Kumho Ecstas 16x225x40 rubber for the past 3 years. No rubbing problems. Yes, it is not a lot of fun at parking lot speeds, but I don't mind using a little more muscle. At highway (and autocross) speeds, it's wonderful.
