The clutch petal on my roundtail started squealimg recently and as I was cleaning 40 years of dirt from around the swivel mechanism preparing for grease, I noticed a large (about one inch) hole in the bottom of can holding the clutch and brake petals. My parts manual indicates a "plug" (105.00.44.331.00) for that hole. Anyone know what that plug is (size, thread size, etc.)?

Access plug for machining, removing clevis pins, or casting? I don't have a pedal box in front of me to see. Bet papajam will chime in.

It's just a plain ol rubber push-in plug with a mushroom head. Color is black. Home improvement center or the like may have something. Don't know the size though but could get one measured if need be.

Papajam, thanks for the info. No wonder that the plug is missing. It would be only a couple of inches from the exhast pipe. Probably melted years ago. Thanks again.
