Hello,

It is a factory installed starter. I am unable to find the specification on what the starter solenoid current draw is.

I'm now using relays to protect the ignition switch on a 1971 GTV conversion. Ignition switches are relatively expensive to replace or repair.

Also, in the wiring diagram in the owner's manual for the '71 it looks like the 12 volts going to the starter relay through the ignition switch is unfused, is this true?

You should be able to measure the resistance on the TS starter, see if it's the same.
