Italspeed, AKA Dirk Stoehr, will be opening the doors for all Alfa Romeo enthusiats at his warehouse this Thursday, June 18th at 7:00 pm. This is in conjunction with “usual” Thursday Car-Nite, assuming the cars that group drive can be called usual. Dirk may be too proud to mention it, but he has quite a large slice of automotive history at his place. AROSC members are encouraged to bring their own little pieces of history, so we can take over the block with cool Italian hardware.
Several interesting Alfas will be on display including Dirk's Alfa 1900 Carrera Panamericana entry, which is being equiped with a secret weapon sure to dominate the 2009 Historic Modified class. Also on display will be a new Alfa 8c and a handful of restored Zagato bodied Abarths. As is the standard with Italspeed there will be an open wine bar (dago red or white), beer and soft drinks.
Italspeed is located at:
3101 S. Main St
Los Angeles, 90006
That is on Main St (duh!) and 31st St. That puts it about 1/2 a mile east of USC. The Thomas Brothers and/or Google can probably give you better instructions on how to get there than I can.
