Replaced original shocks on Monday also. Only 33 years old. Really tough to remove the lower nuts, to get the old ones out.

Removed the OVS yesterday for the first time since i bought the car in 1995 and was surprised that i could blow in the top hole and both passages on the bottom let the air out easily after all reading about clogged OVS. Doesn't look to bad either, so we'll see how it looks once i get the gunk out.

what I do is cut wine corks to tightly fit those big holes, fill it with cleaning fluid of your choice, then shake the heck out of it with my finger blocking the small tube, empty and repeat several times.

remember to squirt 20cc of clean engine oil into the small hose that goes down to the block when putting it all back

My goal is to polish the back window after every wash. When I purchased the car the back window had hundreds of fine scratches. This seems to help! In truth I probably polish the back window once a month. The photo looks better then real life. You can use any polish and even a machine if you want. I polish by hand because I am to lazy to tape of the top. When you use a machine the polish will sling on to the fabric of the top. If you do have deep scratches make the effort to polish the first time with a machine.

My garage is used for a ton of projects, but my spider get parked in the garage ever night. In California Hagerty insurance requires that you park your car in a lock garage. There are exceptions like if you going on a weekend trip or etc.
