I am finishing the rebuild of a 1966 Guilia GT. It has two weber carbs 40DCOE. I am unable to connect the choke cable to the two carbs as the choke cable sleeve post and choke control levers operate in opposing directions to each other. I took a picture but the file is too large to post with this message. If you have thoughts and would like to see a picture then provide an email address and I can send it to you.
Thanks,
Bill

There are 2 different mechanisms. One (Alfa) is for Webers on the right side of the engine. The mechanism activates by pulling to the rear. The other is for engines with the Webers mounted on the left of engine, sometimes over an exhaust manifold.
Now and then I run into a "backwards" mechanism on Webers that were fitted to something other than Alfa's.
Buy a correct mechanism from Pierce manifolds in California.
Problem solved.
