One of the auxiliary Venturi on my early Weber 40’s slides out very easily.

I could shake it out or use my pinky to remove it.

I’ve tried replacing the spring but for some reason it still slides out.

Ive also removed the spring and made it slightly larger by bending it, which helped a little but it still moves slightly..

This issue does not appear on the other venturi’s

Am I missing something?

The flanged type secondary you picture is held in place by the Weber front gasket and cold air box or bolt on air cleaner. The spring indexes the choke with the slot in the body so the fuel feed from the body aligns with the fuel feed to the secondary choke. Tight fit is nice, but unnecessary.
