Hello Everyone,
So last weekend I took out my seized water pump and put in a refurbished water pump that I bought at Kragen. After about 15 minutes, I noticed that oil was leaking from the mech tach drive, so I ordered a new rubber seal for inside tach drive and that didn't solve anything. Since then I've removed the tach drive from the water pump about 10 times each time trying a new gasket, or increased the amount of silicone gasket maker or decreased the amount of silicone gashet maker, or putting a rubber ring inside, or using different bolts. I've let is sit overnight a few times before starting the engine. All techniques have failed, each time I start the engine and wait about 3 minutes oil comes leaking out of the tach drive.
My last solution is to buy a new water pump, but I'm afraid that my might not solve anything, am I missing anything??
