Hi All

I removed all the studs when I removed my waterpump during a total engine rebuild. Can't remember which way the studs go in and what else gets bolted to the waterpump and in what order. I have 5 smaller unequal length studs and one longer one. The parts diagram is a little lacking here. Also wondering if anyone has a source for these studs as mine are a little cruddy. McMaster doesn't have exact matches for almost any of the engine studs.

Thanks

from memory the longer stud goes into the furthest hole at the 3 o'clock position - it should be obvious 'cos i think its a clearance hole through the timing cover and it actually screws into the front of the block - the short studs are no where near long enough for that.

Speaking of short studs - again from memory there are 7 or 8 of them - not exactly sure but certainly more than 5.

I managed to get some replacements in stainless from ebay UK - pretty cheap too. Just like you my local hardware place had nothing like them in stock!!

Is there a reason a fully threaded rod wouldn't work?
