I am looking to reproduce the black monza material found in the verde recaros and need to find a perfect insert to use as the sample. We currently do full recaro resto and the LS is prob the most common seat we recover. We have new foam, new diaphragms, perfect patterns, but we have yet to get a verde ls that has a good enough insert to reproduce.

That being said im going to you guys to see if anyone would happen to have a good insert that could be used for reproduction. You would get the insert back unharmed and we would also be willing to give you 1/2 a yard (18x54") of the new material for free. Thank you in advance.

Here is some of our work on ls's

You may want to wait more than one day for interested responses, especially just prior to a three-day weekend.

p.s. - Your work looks good!!!

Hi,

I have some extra material "Monza Grey" that came with my car when I purchased it, we maybe able to work something out. I purchased the black material online from a Recaro dealer.

I just had my front seats rebuilt this spring. You can call me at 206.715.9670

Cheers,

Shannon

Just wanted to update everyone on some progress:

I have been working with Ron on this project, and we should have the material available shortly. Actually, we had been collaborating long before this thread materialized, but when Ron moved his shop we lost contact and this thread got us back in contact and got the ball rolling again.

We have supplied suitable samples, and also have N.O.S. seat covers to use for "final proofing" of the material before the production run is authorized.

We are taking great care to create a fabric that looks just like the original Recaro fabric but is more durable.

If you wish to purchase the material it will be available through Centerline and Ron will have the material available to install for customers as well. People in the PNW are lucky to have a specialist that is so experienced with the Recaro seats.
